Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps
DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS

Hello all you Bushwacker alumni and fans out there!

I hope everyone is enjoying a safe and happy summer. If you have yet to see Bush this year, I suggest you do, it's a very exciting year and they are taking the tradition of quality to new heights in 2001. I'm very proud of the Corps and it's great to be a part of this organization.

Remember we always need help in the Support Staff department. I know many of you do not have the time to come down every weekend and I respect that, but if you can come down once and help out, it'd make the corps that much better. We need people to help bring the pit equipment onto the field, drive the equipment truck (which if you don't know is just a large pick up truck with a trailer attached), get fresh cool water to the Corps, pin an overlay on a uniform, make sure the plumes are passed out, do all the little things that make a Corps run better so the members themselves don't have to worry about it. They need to concentrate on their job of performing. There are only a couple of people helping to do this right now (Thank you!!), but we need more support people.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Craig Gilmore on his donation of water every weekend to the corps, the members greatly appreciate it. I'd also like to thank some of the alumni for their monetary donations which have gone towards such things as gas for the truck, ice, tape, food, etc. Also in light of the two consecutive truck breakdowns this month, donations would be helpful to replenish that fund.

The Bushwacker marching members are doing their part on the field to take this corps back to the top; they just need the help off the field to make this season a success.

Please, come out to show your support in some way for the Bushwackers. Even if all you can do is sit in the stands at a show, wear your Bush gear and cheer for them, that would be showing your support and help the Corps immensely. I've listed below some information for the rest of July's shows: Clifton, NJ - Saturday, July 21, Waterbury, CT - Sunday, July 22 and Lakewood, NJ - Sunday, July 29. I hope to see all of you very soon!

Thank you and peace,

Mary Snyder
