Chris Hawkins - Assistant Brass Caption Head Chris Hawkins has been a member of the Bushwackers organization since 2006. He was a soloist in 2007 and then moved to staff in 2008 where he also performed as a drum major. Chris joined the brass staff in 2009 and is returning this year as a Brass Instructor and Assistant Brass Caption Head.
Hawkins has a BM in music education from The College of New Jersey and his MM in bass trombone performance from Indiana University. Aside from the Bushwackers, his drum corps experience includes playing lead baritone for Magic of Orlando (1995) and euphonium for the Cadets of Bergen County (1999). Chris is currently the brass instructor for the 2009 USSBA Group 3 Open National Champions, Rancocas Valley High School.
