About The Bushwackers Drum and Bugle CorpsHome > About Us The Bushwackers are a weekend only, all-age drum and bugle corps that competes in the Drum Corps Associates circuit, and is A 501c3 Not-For-Profit Organization. The corps is based in Franklin, NJ where it's summer rehearsals are held. In the past, winter rehearsals have been held in Harrison, Newark, Jersey City, and Parsippany in the north and as far south as Hammonton, NJ. This year, our winter rehearsals are being held at our new corps hall in Franklin, NJ, as well as some other possible venues. (please see our schedule page for more info). While the corps calls New Jersey it's home, it's offices are located in Norwalk, CT. Our competitive season runs from June through Labor Day, but the corps season begins at our annual Open House, which is typically held over Thanksgiving weekend. In addition to competitions across the northeast, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Maryland, the corps also marches in many parades over the course of the year. While competition drives us each year towards the goal of taking first place at the DCA Championship, our commitment is to always put out a quality show that challenges the membership and entertains the audience. |
