Bushwackers Announce Staff and Open House Date

The Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps from Harrison, NJ are pleased to announce that almost the entire staff from the 2001 season will be returning for 2002. Returning brass arranger Chuck Naffier said "This coming season promises to continue down the path of excellence. The excitement created by strong performances all season long, and the 5th place finish of the corps at DCA is really setting the table for a great year in 2002. Combining that passion for performance with some strong additions to the staff, things should be quite a lot of fun for those involved with the corps and those in the audience."

New additions to the staff include Larry Markiewicz and Al Chez. Both are former members of the Corps. "I have always enjoyed working with the highly talented and motivated staff members of the Bushwackers. The corps made great progress last year, and I think with additions such as Al Chez and Larry Markiewicz to the brass team, there truly is "no stoppin' us now.", said brass instructor Dan McGrogan.

Drill design will again be by Dave Weinberg. "I am beginning my second year as drill designer for the Bushwackers and it has been a joy to work with the staff and corps members. Working with a DCA Corps is just as rewarding as working with the Junior Corps. My last experience writing drill for drum corps was the 1989-91 Velvet Knights. So I am honored to be involved in the drum corps activity once again."

Daniel Bostic and JR Bechtel return as Colorguard and Percussion Caption Heads and Arrangers. "The corps made great strides in 2001 and we are extremely excited to have so much of our design staff returning this year", said Corps Director Jay Morlot.

The open house is set for Sunday, November 25. Please check the website for the latest information or email PR@Bushwackers.org
