Bushwackers to Perform at DuBois, PA Community Days Festival
The Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps will march in the DuBois Community Days Festival and Fireman's Parade this Saturday, June 15. The parade begins at 6pm. After the parade, the corps will perform a concert of the 2002 Production, "The Myths of Fire" along with several other tunes from their repertoire.
Directions to DuBois From NJ:
Rt 80 west to exit 17 DUBOIS.
At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right onto RT 255 South.
Proceed on Rt 255 to 7th light.
Turn left onto Liberty Boulevard Rts. 119 & 219 south (look for Pizza Hut)
Proceed straight to Parkway Drive where you should talk to Security who will contact one of the parade chairmen to direct you from there.

Plans finalized for Community Days Friday, Saturday
Months of planning by the DuBois Volunteer Fire Department culminate in the 11th annual DuBois Community Days Festival and Fireman's Parade this week. This year, Community Days will be held Friday and Saturday, rather than Saturday and Sunday, as in past years. Some of the old favorites are back - music, food, crafts, free swimming and, of course, the annual DuBois Firemen's Parade will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday in downtown DuBois. There are a few new events this year, including the Rosaire-Zoppe Chimpanzees, the largest chimpanzee ensemble in entertainment history. The chimps represent eight generations of animal trainers and performers. Also, firemen from New York City's 161st Street Station will be visiting. They are members of the station that local residents embraced last year in Operation: Adopted Heroes. "It should be a really good time," co-chairman and DuBois Mayor John "Herm" Suplizio said Monday. "We hope everybody comes out."
