Bushwackers to use PEARL percussion in 2006

The Harrison Bushwackers are proud to announce that they will be featuring a new silver set of PEARL battery percussion for their 25th anniversary season in 2006. Corps director Jay Morlot said “The people at Pearl percussion have put together a wonderful package for the corps and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our "silver" anniversary then to hit the field with brand new silver Pearl drums".

When asked about supplying the Bushwackers with new drums Kevin Namaky, Marketing Manager from the Pearl Corporation said "Pearl is proud to include the Bushwackers in its family of renowned artists. It is great to be able to support organizations that value education and further the cause of music at such a high level."

Dan Delong, The Bushwacker's percussion arranger and director of percussion added "The 2006 Bushwackers have designed a show utilizing the percussion program as the heartbeat of their production. That is why it makes so much sense to choose Pearl Percussion. When it comes to percussion, Pearl has it's finger on the pulse."

The drums will begin arriving mid May from dealer Dark Horse Percussion of New Jersey. Anthony Cartinella, Owner of Dark Horse Percussion, Goes on to say "Being an artist and educator and having been supplying the Bushwackers for the better part of the last 10 years, I would only wish to see this great organization with the finest equipment to perform with. Pearl drums, by far, offers the best overall equipment to ensure the highest level of performance and durability in the field of marching percussion."

The Bushwackers were formed in 1981 and have competed in the DCA all age circuit since 1982, Having won the DCA World championship title in 1986,88,89,90,92, and 93 (undefeated). The Bushwackers placed third at the 2005 world championships. The Bushwacker drumline also earned the high percussion award 6 straight years from 1986 through 1991.
