As an active free lancer and educator, Matthew is pleased to join the 2009 Bushwackers as the front ensemble instructor.

A recent graduate from the SUNY Purchase Music Conservatory, Matthew has expanded his quest in the realm of instruction and arranging as well as performance.

Getting his drum corps start with the Syracuse Brigadiers from 2003-2005 as a bass drummer, Matthew moved on to march two seasons with the Boston Crusaders front ensemble from 2006-2007. After a planned hiatus from drum corps, Matthew decided to march the last part of the 2008 Bushwacker season only to realize that it was a humbling experience.

Teaching is no foreign aspect to Matthew as he has worked with the New Hartford Spartan (NY) HS band in 2005, The Stamford (CT) HS marching band and scholastic finalist indoor percussion ensemble from 2005-2006. Matthew has been with the Port Chester (NY) HS band since 2007 and was their front ensemble arranger in 2008. Just recently Matthew has been appointed the Percussion Caption Head for the Port Chester marching band and indoor percussion ensemble.

Matt is pleased to be part of the Bushwacker family in 2009, and is ready to be a part of an exciting and educational experience.
