Rodney Thomas - Color Guard Staff

Rodney started his drum corps career at the age of 11 in 1995 with the William Lucas D & B corps from Mount Vernon, NY. He was with this organization for four years but did not join the color guard until his second year in 1996. In 1999 he joined The Cadets of Brooklyn D & B corps where he went on his first full DCI tour. But it was in the fall of 1999 that everything changed for him when he auditioned for The Cadets. He was a member of The Cadets 2000 and 2005, aging out with the corps in 2005.

The summers in between 2000 and 2005 Rodney taught The Cadets of New York City. He was color guard caption head 2003 and 2004. In August of 2004 Rodney joined the Bushwackers color guard and came back to instruct in 2006. Rodney has been involved in the indoor activity also, most recently with The Light Brigade color guard from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania starting in 2004 thru 2007, having the honor of traveling to London, England with the group to participate in the European Regional and the Alter Ego color guard from West New York, NJ from 2002 thru 2003.

Rodney currently resides in New York and instructs the Piscataway High School marching band from New Jersey where he is the color guard caption head.
